One of my Green ICT students pointed out the very useful paper “Assessing the Carbon Footprint of Paper vs. Electronic Invoicing” ( Tenhunen, Maija and Penttinen, Esko, 2010). The Australian Taxation Office allows electronic tax invoices , provided both parties to the transaction to keep a copy (I assume the ATO can then check the two copies match).
