Want to Be a GovLoop Featured Contributor?

It’s that time: GovLoop is now accepting applications for its 2025 Featured Contributor program! Current and former govies, and industry representatives, write on topics they care about — and are recognized by GovLoop’s community of more than 300,000 public-sector employees, industry partners, and knowledge experts.

The program is an excellent opportunity for professionals at any stage of their career.

We’re currently looking for between 12 and 15 writers. Each author will submit 12 articles, typically one article every two weeks. Each article should be approximately 500 words-long.

We’re primarily interested in blog posts that fall into one (or more) of the following categories:

  • Employee and/or constituent engagement
  • Career advice for new and current supervisors
  • Dealing with change in your workplace or career
  • Well-being/mindfulness
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Artificial intelligence/machine learning
  • Diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility
  • Data use and/or literacy
  • Process improvements/agency outcomes
  • Cybersecurity and similar issues
  • Workforce management

Please be prepared to submit articles in at least two topic categories.

What’s in It for You?

Featured contributors enjoy:

  • Distribution of their articles in our morning newsletter, the Daily Awesome
  • A featured position on the www.GovLoop.com homepage for all their posts
  • Individual social media posts (with headshots) welcoming each writer to the program
  • Promotion/re-sharing of their articles to our social network communities
  • Published articles and great lines on their resumes
  • Opportunities to have their writing included in other GovLoop projects, including editorial guides, and to have featured roles in GovLoop online trainings
  • Recognition via a special GovLoop Featured Contributor badge on their posts
