The Partnership for Public Service annually honors outstanding federal employees who have made a significant difference in the lives of Americans. Often referred to as the “Oscars of government service,” the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals (aka The Sammies) highlights all of the “pivotal players” in government who are chosen based on their commitment and innovation, as well as the impact of their work on addressing the needs of the nation.
We would like to take a moment to shine a light on all of the 2011 Sammie recipients who are making government more effective, efficient and beneficial for our nation’s citizens. Each recipient respectively pulled off a major “pivotal play” for government, and we are honored to be showcasing them in this post.
Be sure to check out the full post and videos of all the winners on the Pivotal Plays blog.
