As the government increases its hires, this will be a great group to add to your list of contacts – Young Government Leaders (YGL).
YGL is a professional organization of men and women employed by the government who are “young” in their service and/or “fresh” in their perspective. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and transform the current and future leaders of the government.
YGL provides a community of leadership through professional development activities, networking opportunities, social events, seminars, fellowships, and scholarships.
Our membership consists of over 1800 (and counting) young feds at more than thirty U.S. departments and agencies.
Visit our website – to join, participate in events; visit us on Facebook and Linked In to increase your contacts as well. (General Website http://www.younggovernmentleaders.org/ .)
It IS a great group of people, Uchenna. And YGL members can interact with one another here on GovLoop (in addition to all the great content on your website):

I recommend creating a user-created government employee directory.
It would take less energy for YGL to maintain and could have an overall bigger impact. Perhaps it could operate sort of like GovLuv, but for federal employees?
