Another interesting development here in Australia.
OK. There is a lot of conversation about the need for cultural change in the public sector to get the most out of social media and make Gov 2.0 happen. Not to mention the need to make a big shift to get innovation and public sector reform moving.
For some time I have been saying that corporate areas within APS agencies are a big part of the problem. Possibly not a popular view, but I’m sticking with it. The other part of the problem is individual public servants being empowered to speak up.
The APS reform blueprint is a license to do just that. A license to question the status quo. Personally I would go further. It is a license to challenge and social media is the weapon for doing so.
