Everyone who works in government who works with written materials knows that every sentence is supposed to have a period at the end.
All of those people know (or do they?) that sentences in general are supposed to be short and to the point.
KISS is an old writing thing that means ‘Keep It Short and Simple.’
But many people do not adhere to this KISS thing in their writing, even though they know about it.
I do coaching for writing and I also do coaching for good and natural accent in spoken Mandarin and spoken Spanish. In my opinion, the ‘not adhering to KISS’ in writing is a natural thing. It is a language thing. Accent, too, is a language thing.
