The Commerce Department has awarded a $67.2 million blanket purchase agreement to three companies for technical services to support a future nationwide communications network for first responders.
Information Management Resources, Redhorse Corp. and Windbourne & Costas won their positions on the BPA to support FirstNet through a competition reserved for service disabled, veteran-owned small businesses, a Sept. 4 FedBizOpps notice says.
Awardees will compete for task orders to perform work and the department received five proposals for the two-year BPA.
The awards were made under the General Services Administration‘s Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services Schedule, which covers management and consulting services to federal agencies.
FirstNet is intended as a nationwide broadband network reserved for emergency personnel.
