CoreLink Data Centers has announced a significant increase in its Health IT portfolio with the addition of HealthCare Strategies (HCS) to its client roster. HCS provides clinical data-based analytics, and predictive modeling for health care.
CoreLink has a significant healthcare IT industry presence. According to HCS the company was chosen for this background as Government disaster recovery related regulations place greater emphasis on healthcare providers’ compliance with new provisions of the Health Information for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act of 2009.
CoreLink provides continuous backup network connectivity from its Chicago, Seattle, Las Vegas and Phoenix facilities. The company also offers biometric authentication and remote support.
Under the requirements outlined in HITECH, healthcare organizations and the service organizations and contractors they work with are required to protect, secure and ensure the availability of received, stored, processed and transmitted Protected Health Information (PHI). Under these more stringent requirements, a comprehensive disaster recovery plan becomes a more critical aspect of healthcare companies’ overall data security efforts.
CoreLink’s agreement with HCS is the latest in a steady succession of new client wins for the company’s healthcare IT vertical. The data center service provider has more than doubled its healthcare customer portfolio over the past year.
