We are looking for recommendations on what third-party solutions government agencies are using for email marketing purposes. Our needs include having a solution that offers templates, the ability to manage subscribers and track performance. I’m aware of companies such as MailChimp and Mad Mimi, but we are looking for a company that is based in Canada.
Does anyone have any suggestions to share?

One of the reasons we were thinking of using a source based in Canada was due to privacy legislation. I do realize that the chance of personal information being accessed under the USA PATRIOT Act are remote and with transborder data flow being global we shouldn’t focus on just this one piece of legislation. It just seems that if we can come up with a Canadian-based company, the majority of items on our privacy protection list will or should be already addressed.
