Harvard Beats Yale 29-29

The Hokie Guru’s latest movie, Harvard Beats Yale 29-29, is all the rage at the Avalon in DC. Here’s a clip:

The House and Senate call for pay parity. For you newbies to the federal government, this means that in the opinion of Congress, the military and the civil service should receive the same percentage pay raise for the upcoming calendar year.

The Final Four

Let’s take a quick look at the Final Four… by now, you know the teams in the Big Dance in Detroit, MI are the Michigan State University Spartans, University of Connecticut Huskies, the Villanova University Wildcats, and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.

Much more important than sports lol.

Call this better brackets… the Hokie Guru wants Sparty to win because, for a small period of time, it really could cheer up the city of Detroit and an entire state (Michigan is going through hard times right now with the auto industry)…

But, hey… you could also call this the Hokie Guru’s edition of bitter brackets… a Sparty victory could toast millions of brackets… here are the Guru’s realistic predictions for the games:

1.) Michigan State University vs. University of Connecticut – Sparty, a team with a decided home advantage, takes on UConn, a team that Yahoo Sports is investigating right now. Sometimes when you have this us against the world thing like what’s going on with UConn right now, a team gets closer… the Hokie Guru sees that happening with UConn right now… UConn wins… a close, physical game.

2.) Villanova University vs. University of North Carolina – Villanova’s bring back memories from 1985. That year, the Wildcats were massive underdogs to the Georgetown University Hoyas. They are massive underdogs again (well, not massive) to the University of North Carolina… and the joke will be on ‘Nova. Carolina wins.

In the final, I’ll take North Carolina… if for no other reason, the Hokie Guru is an Atlantic Coast Conference homer.

I’ll do a post on the Frozen Four, the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament Semifinals and Final, next weekend, which includes Bemidji State University, the Cinderella of the tournament.
