Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), who campaigned on the idea of freezing federal worker salaries to control the deficit, may
get to explore the topic further soon.
Senate Republicans announced on Tuesday that Brown will join the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee, and also the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs committees.
The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs panel is chaired by Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) and oversees the Department of Homeland Security, the Postal Service and federal workforce issues.
