We’ve been encouraging NCDD Seattle attendees to self-organize activities the day before the conference — and I’m excited to share with you what’s being offered so far.
9:30 am to noon: Community Weaving workshop: Action planning session to better outcomes
1:30 to 5:30 pm: Method Mapping with the Group Works Card Deck training
4:00 to 6:00 pm: Deliberation Bootcamp
4:30 to 6:30 pm: E-Democracy Training and Peer Exchange for Online Neighbor Connectors
7:00 to 8:45 pm: Evening Conversation Cafe event at Seattle Center
If you’re arriving on or before Thursday, or if you live near Seattle, you’ll want to take advantage of one or more of these FREE pre-conference activities on Thursday, October 11th.
We’re especially encouraging ALL conference attendees to join us Thursday night for our evening Conversation Cafe event hosted by long-time NCDD member Susan Partnow. And if you’re newer to dialogue and deliberation or a newcomer to this community of practice and all the terms, acronyms and methodologies we throw around, we highly recommend the Deliberation Bootcamp run by Colorado State University’s Martin Carcasson.
See www.ncdd.org/events/ncdd2012/pre-conference for more info on all these great options, and sign up now for the ones that interest you to secure your spot and help us plan.
Have an idea for an additional activity you’d like to offer? Email NCDD director Sandy Heierbacher at [email protected] to suggest an addition to the list.
