In Episode 23 of the Green Government Podcast we’re chatting with Terry Johnson, Director of GoElectricDrive at the Electric Drive Transportation Association. Terry has extensive experience in government, business and the non-profit sector and will be talking with us today about the importance of electric vehicles and their role in the future of transportation.

Terry Johnson has extensive experience in government, business and the non- profit sector.
As a U.S. Senate aide in the late 1970s, he drafted legislation for renewable technologies included in the National Energy Act, and participated in creation of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, where he later served.
As an entrepreneur, he built a Denver-based telecommunications company with $250M in annual sales.
In October, 2009, Johnson became Director of the National Plug-in Vehicle Initiative – hosted by the Washington, D.C.-based Electric Drive Transportation Association. The mission of the NPVI is to educate consumers, government agencies, and key industry sectors about grid-connected electric drive technologies, and address market and institutional barriers to mass market adoption of plug-in electric vehicles (PEV’s).
