Help ID new GovTwits after 2010 elections

Americans take to the polls November 2nd, and regardless of the political party results, one thing’s for certain: there will be newly elected officials who won’t be listed in GovTwit. That’s where you can help.

If you know or learn of a new governor, senator, representative or any elected official who is on Twitter, please leave their ID and any other helpful information (position, state/city, etc) in the comments section over at the GovTwit blog. You can also use the “recommend” button on the homepage of GovTwit.com.

Similarly, if there is an individual in the directory who has lost their elected position, please point it out in comments.

This is the first major national election cycle since GovTwit was launched in 2008, and as much as I’d love to dedicate tons of time to ensure new additions from a major election are included in real-time, that’s simply not going to happen without some help from the community.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

–Steve
