At today’s installment of #IRMCO several individuals are chatting about different Federal Agency performance measures and how they are being applied either successfully or unsuccessfully. HUD’s Peter Grace described the implementation of metrics to evaluate the agency’s ability and success in delivering affordable housing. Education Department spokeswoman describes successes and failures ini performance measures during the Obama and Bush administrations.
Program effectiveness is somewhat subjective. But, by defining goals, including deliver statistics, an assessment of program performance can be gleaned.
Do you think see performance measures will be used to reduce Federal spending by eliminating ineffective programs or will the statistics be used to justify further expenditures?
