What is going on these days? It seems that the Internet and social networking has made the world flat. What do we mean by this? Well, amateur sleuths can serve as GEOINT analysts by finding top secret locations in North Korea on Google Earth. And, now it was just reported that a Facebook group for Israeli soldiers who served at a highly top secret base has now been set up. Members of this group use it to upload photos and videos of their shared experiences on the site, and has attracted 265 members. Well, we might venture a guess that this top secret base is no longer top secret (just a hunch). Remember when there was a time when intelligence gathering was a discrete things? State secrets were just that…state secrets.
