Plain Language Writing for the Web
How you write content for your agency’s website directly impacts your ability to give your customers what they need most—information! Writing for the web requires different approaches and skills than writing for print publications. People come to your website for quick bits of information—NOT to read “War and Peace”!

Luckily, many web writing techniques, such as to organize for the reader, design for scanning, reduce text, favor active voice, and use ordinary words, are all central to plain language.

We’ll discuss plain writing principles and how they apply to the web, and update you on the Plain Writing Act of 2010.

Attend this seminar if you write for:

  • the web
  • blogs
  • press releases
  • emails
