Here’s a colllege football teaser…
92 91 days out from an incredible college football opener. Virginia Tech plays Alabama in the Chick-Fil-A College Football Kickoff Classic at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA. The game is on September 5, 2008 at 8 PM EST.
In fact, we could be in for a September to remember. Several excellent matchups on deck before and after Labor Day weekend. I will have my eyes on the University of Oregon at Boise State University game (with a possible upset from the smurfs):
USC at Ohio State, Tennessee at Florida… whew… all in September.
And, quite frankly (being the homer that I am), there are several in the media who say that Virginia Tech has the toughest road to the Bowl Championship Series… Virginia Tech does not have an NCAA Division I-AA opponent on its schedule.
