Lesson: We Are Never as Smart as We Think We Are

I was privileged to see in person the flybys and final landing of NASA905 and Discovery yesterday at Dulles. The event vividly brought back my boyhood dreams of being an an astronaut and the thrill of space exploration.

Today, I want to share with you terrific insider’s blog and lesson learned on “How We Nearly Lost Discovery.”

As a public servant and father, I take heart the impact of God’s providence in our everyday actions and depth of Mr. Hale’s concluding hindsight:

“You see, this is how I found out that we were never really as smart as we thought we were. Maybe that is a lesson that applies to you, too.”
