Greetings from the Hokie Guru… been a while since I’ve posted here… and I’m in this Executve Master of Public Policy graduate education program at Georgetown University (for Inspector General personnel… you can see more about our mission right here)… it’s taking quite a bit of my time. you can see the curriculum right here.
It should be a great tournament… everyone seems to have Kansas as the favorite… but there are always a few surprises every year π It’s why we all love the tournament… there’s always that little voice inside us that sides for the little guy… the underdog… the George Mason π
If you think you can beat Hokie Guru, you sign up for Govloop’s Bracket Challenge right here.
And, follow me on Twitter. I know you’ll love the free flow of sports knowledge… and you’ll get some laughs in the process… I’ll be live tweeting some of the NCAA tournament games π
And my Hokies were snubbed (thanks for the love, DickieV)?!?!?! NIT Again? My heart can’t take all this breaking lol.
Take care… let the games and the madness begin!!
Tough snub…but are you going to root for ACC? Dukies…?
I’m an ABD guy… anybody but Duke LOL… seriously, here are my adopted teams… since I’m a graduate program at Georgetown, I’ll be rooting fo the #hoyas… in the #ACC, I’ll take Georgia Tech and Clemson… I’m from North Dakota, so I gotta root for my high school classmate, Ben Jacobson, who is the coach at Northern Iowa… he’s from my home town in North Dakota.
Hate to rain on anyone’s parade, but don’t gamble on (Fed) Govt time or equipment.
This courtesy of my Union: Gambling while in the federal workplace, including using your computer system, is a violation of federal law. So if you’re participating in a bracket, be sure to do it at home on your own PC (and not while on VPN). For more information, please read today’s Wash Post article
Sorry, link didn’t take: try cutting and pasting… http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/15/AR2010031503590.html?sub=AR
Most organizations have firewalls that block out bracket web sites, Alan… if they don’t, then they really could care less about computer security (and auditing of that is my profession)..
Go Terps!
