The National Library of Medicine (NLM) responds to more than 100,000 questions each year. Regularly asked questions become Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). NLM Reference and Consumer Health FAQs are at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/faqref.html . We review and update our FAQs frequently. FAQs often include national and international government agencies and non-profit organizations. NLM is often asked the question, Where can I find information about medical devices, medical supplies and assistive devices?
The FAQ, “Medical Devices, Medical Supplies & Assistive Devices,” is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/services/meddevice.html. This revised FAQ is an expansion of “FAQ: Medical Devices.” It includes links to resources in your local area. Ideas as to where to go to find information, such as your local pharmacy, library, and telephone book, are also included.
