A new MeriTalk survey of 100 federal government cybersecurity workers says close to three quarters of professionals have put data theft prevention at the top of their list of priorities.
Seventy-four percent of those respondents said their top priority was to stop data theft but ensuring a user-friendly experience was the lowest-rated priority, with 40 percent calling it a top concern, MeriTalk said Tuesday.
Akamai Technologies was the underwriter for the survey, which also examine the attitudes of 100 end users.
The survey also identified maintaining and upgrading security systems as a top priority for 55 percent of federal cyber workers, with 54 percent listing new cybersecurity protocol deployments as their main action item and 53 percent prioritizing denial-of-service attacks.
