ClearedJobs.Net has been a long-time presenter of Transition Assistance Program (TAP) classes around the Washington DC area. Today, ClearedJobs.Net will be presenting at a TAP class being held at Fort
Meade, Maryland.
In the spirit of Military Spouse Appreciation Day, an annual recognition taking place the Friday before Mother’s Day, today’s TAP attendees are being treated to a special extra gift to take home to their military spouses. “We are augmenting our usual sandwich delivery for participants with gift bags for TAP attendees to take home to their spouses,” says Kathleen Smith, Chief Marketing Officer for ClearedJobs.Net. “It’s a small yet meaningful gesture that speaks volumes about how much we value military spouses for all their patience, love
and sacrifice.”
The delivery of military spouse-specific goodie bags at area TAP classes is one of various activities the online job board for security cleared personnel
is actively involved with in light of Military Spouse Appreciation Day. Its #milspouse
Twitter tribute effort to publicly thank military spouses for their dedication
the past week has been met with a positive response. As military spouse
Mary Chapman personally shared with Smith on LinkedIn, “As a long-time (26
years and counting) military spouse, I want to thank you for your efforts! The
public often forgets the contributions made by the families of our service
personnel.”
ClearedJobs.Net has always been a strong supporter of the U.S. military. Its participation with TAP, a program offering job-search assistance and
related services to service members during their period of transition into
civilian life, is just one of many activities the security cleared online job
board pursues yearly with passion.
ClearedJobs.Net will round out its Military Spouse Appreciation activities on Friday by participating in the launch party for the National
Military Spouse Network and hosting two military spouses at the party. Tickets
were made available to spouses on Twitter.
