This month, online parenting site Babble.com put out a list of 100 moms who are changing the world. This high-powered list includes Hillary Clinton, Vera Wang, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Shirin Abadi. To recognize the thousands upon thousands of other not-high-profile moms toiling tirelessly to change our world, Babble.com also created a competition, inviting anyone to “mominate” their favorite mom who is changing the world. Babble.com will award $5,000 to one mom in each of 10 categories – to direct towards the charity of her choice.
We are delighted that City Hall Fellows‘ founder – Bethany Rubin Henderson – was mominated in the politics category. Read about Bethany, and we think you’ll agree she is deserving of this honor. If Bethany wins, City Hall Fellows will receive $5,000 to support our training of the next generation of city leaders – a sizeable chunk of our annual budget.
For Bethany to win, we need your help. Please vote for her. And hurry, voting closes September 20. Thank you for making a difference!
