NASA plans to release a final solicitation for a government-wide procurement contract covering information technology products and services on or around Aug. 12, FCW reported Friday.
Mark Rockwell writes the agency originally scheduled the release date in May for NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V program.
The later date is intended to give SEWP IV contractors more time to prepare their responses for SEWP V, Rockwell reports.
Joanne Woytek, the SEWP program manager, told FCW agencies can use the vehicle to acquire IT products services at no more than 10 percent of the contract price.
Roger Waldron, president of the Coalition for Government Procurement, told FCW SEWP V will include a supply-chain risk management provision based on the Pentagon’s acquisition rules,
Waldron added the contract will also have reporting, strategic sourcing and performance rating requirements.
