National Day of unplugging – This weekend

MTV’s “unplugged” is a cool way to redo a song with a natual acustic sound. What about life. Can you unplug for a weekend?

Really unplug. No cell phone. No iPod. No social media or computer. Take a day off – just a day.

Is this a good idea ? Many digital natives (those who grew up in the digital world 1995 and later) do not feel safe without a GPS or cell phone. “My god! how do you survive on the road?”

The idea is called “The Sabbath Manifesto” but its not relegious. It is a creative project designed to slow down lives in an increasingly hectic world. We’ve created 10 core principles completely open for your unique interpretation. We welcome you
to join us as we carve a weekly timeout into our lives.

Good question – SLR do not.

@ Peter,

The goal is to unplug. Spend time with those around you. Relax. No TV, texting, iPod, etc that interferes with being with those around you. To get over the feeling of being a “slacker” for not ansering emails at 3 am.

Its the “Put the mouse down and step away from the keyboard” approach 🙂 LoL
