Last week I tweaked Rep. Brady and his Texas Tea Partiers for whining about the lack of Government services for their protest against the Government in Washington DC.
This week I’ll target the Massachusetts effort to change the law on their Governor appointing a successor to a congressional or senatorial vacancy. When Senator Kerry ran for President Massachusetts Democrats did not want Republican Governor Mitt Romney to be able to name Kerry’s successor if he won, so they passed a bill mandating that the vacancy be filled by a special election. Yes, it’s more expensive, but it does seem more fair – let the PEOPLE choose.
With Senator Ted Kennedy’s passing under a Democratic Governor, the Democrats, not wanting to be short on a senate vote, want to reverse what they did in 2004.
Oh my. I guess what is good for the goose is not good for the gander at all.
This reminds me of Val Kilmer playing Doc in the movie TOMBSTONE.
Doc Holliday: “It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.”
