TwitterHawk will send Twitter users your custom response when they tweet your keyword in locations that you specify. It’s like an auto responder for Twitter. Let’s say you’re holding a conference and you want your response to reach anyone within a 50 mile radius of your location- when someone 7 miles away tweets about “looking for a Gov2.0 conference,” your pre-written response will automatically be sent to that person.

You may view it as Twitter Answers, but it is capable of much more. This is a very powerful app.

63. Twellow: is an advanced “yellow pages” for the Twitter
community. It categorizes and organizes Twitter into hundreds of niches to make searching for followers much easier. *BONUS*: Twellow also includes an additional app called TwellowHood. This app allows you to locate people by geographical maps to connect with. Simply click on any state to zoom in for a list of people that TwellowHood finds close to you. You’ll then be able to see a list of cities identified as having users located in them and view the users in each.

64. Nambu: is a network of services for social messaging, (Mac Users Only- OS X 10.5+), deeply integrated into a client software to maximize the user experience. Share images, movies, music and files. Other features include: Lifestreaming (RSS) of posts; Threaded comments; Groups; Gravatar.com support; Updating and receiving of threaded comments from Twitter; and I believe the most useful: Jabber/GTtalk notifications. The Jabber notification feature alone is amazing, (Jabber is one of the most powerful SaaS applications a government agency can use. It has recently been approved for use by a nifty GSA contract).

66. twitrans: Translate Your Tweets to Any Language by Human Translators. Nice.
