The cities of Arvada, Colorado and Boulder, Colorado recently entered into an MOU to “co-develop/enhance” a PHP-based web content management system originally developed by Arvada IT staff. This innovative product is both feature-rich and social media focused. The city of Boulder will be using the CMS in its new website design scheduled to go live later in the year.
The vision of both cities is to continue to enhance the product and make it available to other communities nationwide as an open source offering … with the hope of garnering broader interest in ongoing code enhancements.
To catalyze our vision, we are submitting a proposal for the multi-million dollar Bloomberg Mayors Challenge and would appreciate your participation in a survey to help us determine/illustrate the interest of other communities in our vision.
