Water Works: Rebuilding Infrastructure, Creating Jobs, Greening the Environment, a report released last week by the organization Green For All, has caught our eye.
Funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and produced in collaboration with American Rivers, Pacific Institute, and the Economic Policy Institute, Water Works makes some assertions worth repeating.
Not only do they make the case for the need for water infrastructure improvements, they calculate that investing in these improvements will have a significant impact on the economy. In fact, they estimate that these projects will add 1.9 million American jobs and $265 billion to the economy.
