Everyday, we have our military, law enforcement officials, and government workers (at all levels of government… federal, state, and local) put themselves out there in danger when they are in the line of duty. Today was no different. Deriek W. Crouse, a Virginia Tech campus police officer, was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop. Crouse leaves behind a wife and five children and stepchildren, his mother and a brother. He was an Army veteran, according to Virginia Tech officials. He was only 39 years old. Too young to die.
Too young to die.
My prayers (and I’m sure all on Govloop) go out to him, the victims’ families, and those at Virginia Tech, who have had to endure entirely too much tragedy. We will prevail!!
