Last week I attended the TechNet Asia-Pacific conference from AFCEA in Honolulu. The location itself would have been enough to make for a good conference, but this event was far more than a trip to the beach. We met with a number of IT managers from the Navy and Air Force to find out more about what they are looking for in their technology, and gave them a taste of the newest offerings from HP.
We were also able to take part in a tribute event to honor our heroes and wounded warriors. The “Hawaii Victory Canteen – Salute to Heroes” event was a USO style show that brought together dozens of wounded warriors and their families from around Hawaii to recognize them for their dedication and service to our country.
HP has worked closely with the Disabled American Veterans and National Veterans Wheelchair Games this summer, so it was great to wrap up the year with another uplifting event to pay tribute to the great men and women who keep our country free, and to hear some of their stories.
