Even in these hard economic times, some agencies are steadily growing and expanding. What does that mean for you?
In a word, opportunity. Others agencies, such as mine are streamlining operations. But even with that there is still opportunity for promotions.
So in your pursuit to land your dream job, you must do research. Identify the agencies that are looking for the particular skill set you possess.
You’d be surprised how easily you can change your life and your career by simply taking a job in a different federal agency. I happen to love the United States Postal Service which is why I’ve been here for nearly twenty years. But the choice ultimately is yours.
Action Step: Do your due diligence.
Check job opportunities on USAJobs.gov and other federal job boards.
Then connect with professionals that are working for that company.
