This doesn’t really come as a surprise, since West Virginia has implemented a successful implementation of RPMS across a community clinic consortium. Perhaps the Senator paid them a visit to see how it was working out?
Interesting. I am from the great state of West Virginia and haven’t heard of Senator Rockefeller’s roll in this initative. I think it’s great, though. I will send him some info about the Public Health Grid, a “super-computing, grid technology” approach to open source for the very purpose the Senator is hoping for. I am on the communications team for this initiative at CDC. He is probably not aware of its existance.
