For 13 years, ACT-IAC’s Excellence.gov Awards have recognized government programs – and government employees – for applying technology to improve government.
In 2013, the 25 Finalists continue to demonstrate that government employees DO go the extra mile to get results. Excellence.gov puts lie to stereotypes about government employees.
One of the areas we can all be proud of – as government employees, contractors, and as citizens – is the deep respect we owe and show to our military and veterans. Four of the 25 Finalists for Excellence.gov are programs that serve our military and former military, and their families. This year, almost 20 programs were nominated from the VA and DOD communities, but these four were deemed the best. I invite you to take a look at these programs and register a vote for the “People’s Choice” for which Finalist has the greatest impact – in any way you choose to define “impact.” Just pick your favorite! For starters, take a look at the military/vets programs:
- GoArmyEd – Army Continuing Education System, U.S. Army
- Defense Connect Online (DCO) – Defense Information Systems Agency, U.S. Department of Defense (DOD)
