This interview with Deloitte Australia’s CEO highlights the best use of social media – collaboration, communication, “flattening” the organization. I find it truly incredible how this CEO and company are able to do better for their customers and each other using social media (Yammer). Granted, every company and agency and culture is different/has it’s own nuances, but it seems the principles that make this work are fairly universal — valuing all opinions; open and honest communication that actually brings about needed changes; a CEO willing to engage and respond and change if needed; the enhancement of customer service through internal collaboration; just awesome! The most impressive piece to me is how the CEO says he really wants disagreement to be brought to his attention, rather than somebody just walking away grumbling… his attitude, combined with the Yammer tool = success.
