I am a Civil Service retiree and a GovLoop subscriber who occasionally posts items online that deserve the awareness of the Federal Community. In this regard please check out a prominent article Preventing Suicide on College Campuses as well as a collection of relevant articles in the March-April 2011 issue of SAMHSA NEWS (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.) SAMHSA’s intro to the article: “College can be a stressful time, and the numbers bear that out. According to SAMHSA’s National Survey on Drug Use and Health, in 2008, young adults age 18 to 25 were more likely than adults age 26 to 49 to have had serious thoughts of suicide.” Moldeven
