I was just reading that Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is coming up on Thursday, April 23, 2009.
I’m curious to know how many of you have developed partnerships at your place of work, or in your town/neighborhood and schools. More importantly, how has it worked out for you?
For those of you HR professionals, or whom may be responsible for the planning and managing of the day’s events – what sort of activities do you plan for the various ages? What type of information do you provide them as far as educating them to opportunities in public service, and/or specifically to working at your agency/department?
If you are interested in this year’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, here’s some additional information on the Foundation that I’ve found: http://www.daughtersandsonstowork.org

They sort of do it at the VA, although most of the folks here are over 50, so it maybe should be: Take Your Granddaughters and Sons to Work Day? (-:
If you have an office you can *stash* them there, but impossible with a cube. In April they also miss a day of school, which is not good.
