Quote: “The purpose of our lives is to add value to the people of this generation and those that follow.” – Buckminster Fuller
The Law of Income states, “You will be paid in direct proportion to the value you deliver according to the marketplace.” Another way to think of it is, how many people do you actually serve or affect?
Sports athletes affect millions of people, so they are paid millions of dollars. What type of affect do you want to have on the marketplace? Will you play big or play small? The majority of the world chooses small because of fear. They are scared to fail and even more afraid to succeed. This is not you though.
Realize that life is not simply about you. It’s also about what you can give to others. Have you ever read a book, newspaper or watched a television program and were moved? Were you inspired or encouraged? That’s great. That person added his/her small piece to the world to help you. What will you do to help encourage and inspire someone else? That means you have to play big and kick fear to the curb.
Be a problem solver in your organization. Always look for ways to help others succeed. Step up to the plate of life and by so doing, you will eventually be paid more and promoted faster.
Action Item: Write down 3 problems you can help solve for your company.
