It looks like the idea of Open Source software is not being missed in Washington. I see the Recovery.gov website is being published using Drupal.
Perhaps if Washington sets the example, then the idea of an open source EHR like VistA won’t freak people out so much.
Great news. We put up a DOD (congressionally mandated) site very quickly using Drupal. I’m a comm person, and love Drupal. Learned to use it in a matter of minutes.
Finally, Open Source is getting a Fed plug and perhaps momentum.
I guess I didn’t post what was a real eye-popper on open source and government here. I’ve amended that oversight. See the posting on Senator Rockefeller and open source EHRs.
The same week recovery.gov launched, so did the revamped motherjones.com. Both in Drupal.
