As Deltek continues to analyze states’ fiscal year (FY) 2013 budgets, we are taking an even deeper look at Medicaid spending amongst states.
In February, Deltek analyzed the following FY 2013 proposed budgets: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vermont. Total Medicaid spending among the selected states has decreased about 1.95 percent since FY 2012 to approximately $72.2 billion. Among these states, Florida will see the biggest drop in Medicaid spending at 8.12 percent, while Massachusetts will see the biggest increase at nearly 4.9 percent.
