Well not as far as the media was concerned. WE ALL LET THE MEDIA CONTROL OUR THOUGHTS, WE MAY NOT AGREE WITH THE MEDIA, BUT WE ARE FORCED TO ACCEPT WHAT THEY SAY BECAUSE, ITS THE MEDIA, HOW CAN WE AS ADULTS, ESPECIALLY IN GOVERNMENT BE CONCERENED ABOUT WHAT SHOWS OUR CHILDREN WATCH, BUT WE FEED OUR FELLOW AMERICANS, WHOM ULTIMATELY HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE OR BREAK THIS COUNTRY, PERSUASIVE NEWS?

The Boston bombing was flashed about three times a day, step by step. People were reporting live and it went “Hollywood“. The whole reason why this incident was so important to publish over and over again is because of the immigration reform. To someone like myself, whom doesn’t have the PH.D or half the education that some of you have, I’ll see this on the news and I’ll make a bias stereotype that all Russians are “terrorists” and well that immigration reform will not only open up the gates for more “terrorists” like the one’s from the bombing, but now I begin to “associate”. Let’s see what’s the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word “terrorist”? The twin towers from 9/11. Then I remember that people were taken hostage. I don’t want to be taken hostage. Do you? VOTE NO ON IMMIGRATION REFORM. WE GOTTA KEEP THESE TERRORISTS OUT OF OUR COUNTRY. THAT’S THE MESSAGE THAT THE MEDIA WAS TRYING TO SEND.

Classical Conditioning (Pavlov)

Summary: Classical conditioning is a reflexive or automatic type of learning in which a stimulus acquires the capacity to evoke a response that was originally evoked by another stimulus.

Originators and Key Contributors: First described by Ivan Pavlov (1849-1936), Russian physiologist, in 1903, and studied in infants by John B. Watson (1878-1958).

Classical Conditioning (Ivan Pavlov)

Several types of learning exist. The most basic form is associative learning, i.e., making a new association between events in the environment. There are two forms of associative learning: classical conditioning (made famous by Ivan Pavlov’s experiments with dogs) and operant conditioning.

John B. Watson: Early Classical Conditioning with Humans

John B. Watson further extended Pavlov’s work and applied it to human beings. In 1921, Watson studied Albert, an 11 month old infant child. The goal of the study was to condition Albert to become afraid of a white rat by pairing the white rat with a very loud, jarring noise (UCS). At first, Albert showed no sign of fear when he was presented with rats, but once the rat was repeatedly paired with the loud noise (UCS), Albert developed a fear of rats. It could be said that the loud noise (UCS) induced fear (UCR). The implications of Watson’s experiment suggested that classical conditioning could cause some phobias in humans.

The problem with the way that is processed, is that not only does it keep us from taking action or making a decision but it keeps them in control, because now we watched the news and why would we want more “terrorists” in our country. Let’s get these “terrorists” out of here. For the longest time after the 9/11 incident, anytime I saw someone who looked Arabian or of that ethnicity I would panic, and I would walk away. That is the animosity created by the media because only thing I know is what I learned from reading the newspaper or watching the news.

Why is everyone making such a big deal about the government shutdown? Everyone keeps talking about it, because that’s all we keep seeing in the news, The internet, AND the newspapers. Why do we keep seeing that the government is shutdown? THE MEDIA USES “PAVLOV’S CLASSICAL CONDITIONING”, TO CONTROL OUR TRAIN OF THOUGHT. The QUESTION IS WHO CONTROLS THE MEDIA?? MOST LIKELY, THE RICH ONE PERCENT THAT HAS A FULL BLOWN EDUCATION, HAS MONEY. A HOUSE, CAR AND CAN AFFORD A BUSINESS SUIT.

This country has money, in abundance. The United States has 800 government employees out of work. Chances are that those 800 people aren’t starving and have a roof over their heads. What about the one’s who don’t have those luxuries? The welfare system is created to keep you financially restrained so that you remain poor and suppressed. IF THE POOR GET OUT THE POOR ZONE, THEY CAN’T FOCUS ON POLITICS, WE NEED THEM, LET’S HELP TRAPPING THEM.

I SAY THE GOVERNMENT OPENS UP TO HEARING WHAT SOME OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY IN THEIR OWN WORDS, WITHOUT TRYING TO FORCE ETTIQUETTE UPON THEM, IT’S NOT FAIR TO EXPECT SOMEONE LIKE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS WHEN THEY HAVEN’T HAD THE PRIVLEDGES THAT SOME OF YOU HAVE. THOSE WITH ALL THE LEADERSHIP SKILLS ARE A TRUE INSPIRATION, THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING DONE TO CONTROL THE MEDIA AND THAT IS MORE OF A CONCERN THAN THE GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN. THAT’S THE LEAST OF OUR WORRIES, THEY WILL GET THEIR WELFARE CHECK LIKE I DO. WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER TO RESOLVE HOW THE NEWS IS HANDED TO US BECAUSE PEOPLE’S MINDS ARE NOT THAT DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. ALL IT TAKES IS THE RIGHT WRONG WORDS, AND THIS IS IMPAIRITIVE THAT WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE POOR IS NOT GOING TO STAY POOR FOREVER. SO IT’S IN OUR BEST INTEREST TO COMMUNICATE AND RESOLVE EACH OTHERS NEEDS TO OPEN UP JOBS AND OPPORTUNIITES, BECAUSE ALTHOUGH COMPUTERS REPLACED A HUGE AMOUNT OF JOBS IN TODAY’S JOB MARKET WE STILL NEED PEOPLE TO OPERATE THOSE COMPUTERS.ALONG WITH OTHER JOBS. LET’S WORK TOGETHER.
