One of the aspects of living in the D.C. area that I love the most is being able to work with the many wonderful organizations and individuals that are dedicated to helping and providing service to those brave men and women who sacrifice so much for their country – I am truly appreciative of the sacrifices that our troops make. I have been coordinating with USO of Metropolitan Washington and WFED Radio to donate Washington National’s baseball tickets for our troops and today we officially announced the donation.
The ticket donation will provide four tickets to each of the 81 Washington Nationals home games. Throughout the entire 2010 MLB season Washington D.C. area active duty military and their families will obtain free tickets to Washington Nationals home games through the USO of Metropolitan Washington’s free ticket program, TicketLine. For more information on the TicketLine program please visit www.usometro.org.
Forgive the promotion here, but since it’s relevant and a good cause, check out Hero Day – an organization launched by a friend and me this week.
Nothing wrong with a little promotion. We’re all promoting our selves or something else. Hero Day looks like a great organization.
