Two New Global Renewable Energy Studies

Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a global leader in wind energy, recently announced the release of two studies that will help move consumers and corporations towards an increased use of renewable energy. The reports are free to the public and provide an interesting read for those interested in renewable energy on a global scale:

About the Studies

Corporate Renewable Energy Index [CREX] 2011

Produced in partnership with Bloomberg, this is the most comprehensive analysis of global corporate renewable energy consumption ever undertaken. This pioneering index provides transparency in the energy use among some of the world’s largest corporations.

CREX, which can be found on the Bloomberg Terminal, provides crucial information about how corporations are contributing to our transition to a low-carbon society. It lists both absolute figures and relative percentages of corporate renewable energy consumption for electricity, and includes a breakdown by renewable energy source.

Global Consumer Wind Study 2011

This groundbreaking study of 31,000 consumers in 26 countries worldwide maps public perceptions of climate change, climate friendly brands, and how these affect consumers’ purchasing decisions.

The study, commissioned by Vestas and conducted by TNS Gallup, gives fascinating insights that enable corporations to understand consumer perceptions about climate change, renewable energy and how these relate to global brands.
