GTSI — the company has been a staple of government IT contractors, almost a cornerstone and some might say a pioneer.

As the market changed, GTSI worked to evolve from a reseller of IT products into a services company. Then it got kidney punched by the Small Business Administration in a flap over how the company had dealt with small business allocations.

The SBA banned the government contractor from government contracts before an GTSI and SBA reached a settlement. Yesterday, the company announced that it has been acquired by Unicom Systems for $76 million.
