Exploring the Power of Managed Cloud Solutions in Canada

This blog post was created in partnership with Amazon Web Services.

To lay the pathway for government and IT innovation in its public sector, Canada has set out three main goals: 1. Bring the supply of IT service into balance with the demand for citizen services. 2. Provide a consistent approach to managing the risks of cloud adoption. 3. Prepare the IT workforce for cloud.

To achieve those goals, Shared Services Canada (SSC) –  the central IT service provider of the federal government of Canada that delivers infrastructure services related to email, data centers, telecommunications, and workplace technology devices – recently announced the awarding of multiple contracts to six partners of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network for access to AWS cloud services.

The AWS Partner Network (APN) is a global partner program that focuses on helping organizations build a successful AWS-based business by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support.

One of these six partners is LINKBYNET (Lien par le Réseau) Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of LINKBYNET Group, a leading player in IT managed, consulting, outsourcing, security and cloud services, with more than 650 employees, 800 clients, and offices in Canada, the U.S., France, Asia and Mauritius.
