GovLoop Contest Winner – George Washington University!

The GovLoop Battle of Colleges Charity Contested has officially ended with the winner being the George Washington University. 2nd place goes to George Mason University and 3rd place goes to American University.

Despite our range of members, I guess the D.C. connection is strong although if given another week or so I’m guessing you would have seen Harvard and Syracuse in the top 3. Congratulations to some of my favorite underdogs that grew such as University of Houston, Rice, Grinnell, Arizona, and San Diego State

I would like to thank everyone for participating and spreading the word. I loved the interactions and the rivalries that spread amongst colleges. Virginia Tech beat Virginia. Maryland beat Duke. Penn beat Princeton. Iowa State beat Iowa.

Starting today you will see the George Washington Colonial featured prominently on GovLoop for a whole week.

Additionally, I will be reaching out to the winners about where they wish GovLoop to make a charity donation. I will ask them if they are willing to pool their donations (plus a little holiday bonus) so GovLoop can donate a laptop to One Laptop Per Child program.
