Last week was GovLoop’s first trip to Oklahoma City (and hopefully not the last!). It was such a thrill to meet so many awesome Govies at Tapwerks Ale House in Bricktown!
What a great way to kick of the Gov2.0a Oklahoma City Conference! We had so many great conversations with members of state and local government from all over Oklahoma, including a few local mayors! A warm-up round of GovUp Bingo allowed everyone to get to know one-another, and win some awesome GovLoop swag!
It was a true privilege to hear Oklahoma State Representative, Jason Murphey speak. He highlighted the key projects that Oklahoma state government is implementing including the first state level framework for omnibus gov2.0 and how feedback the government receives from the gov2.0 community is affecting laws being written and lobbied for. Representative Murphey inspired and encouraged all of us to use our gov2.0 tools to get the word out and share ideas.
Hope we make it back to Oklahoma City soon! Here’s a few pics and video from the event:

This was a really great event. Thanks to GovLoop and GovDelivery for their support. Paul Monies, database editor for The Oklahoman, wrote a great wrap of Saturday’s CityCampOKC.
Huge thanks to our sponsors – NIC – who are doing some amazing work with government around the country! Plus, their team members are just plain awesome people.
