Today, some members of the GovLoop team headed to a DC lunch hot-spot for a special treat. They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but today, that was not the case! Thanks to ScoutMob, one of my favorite mobile apps, everyone was able to get a free smoothie of their choice at no cost. Just a touch of the screen can you get some great deals with this free app.
These types of daily deal apps aren’t news to most folks. For me it all started with Living Social, and then Groupon. At first, I simply received my emails that made me aware of the hot deal of the day, but then I quickly discovered that I could enjoy discounts on food and more on my cell phone. These apps are awesome because not only do they help folks save money, but they allow you to explore unfamiliar cities and discover new places in your hometown.
