Do you ever feel like it’s Groundhog Day when dealing with cybersecurity in government? Evolving threats, aging legacy systems, budget constraints, workforce gaps, mandate upon mandate – you’ve heard it all before. Agencies have been battling these challenges day after day for years.
This feeling of déjà vu is why agencies at all levels are setting out to redefine government cybersecurity and take a more proactive approach. They’re starting to invest in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to supplement modest staff sizes. They’re putting security at the forefront as millions of devices and data points are added to our connected world and automating threat detection. They’re marrying security with DevOps and finding new ways to attract and train cyber talent.
However, to really get these cybersecurity investments off the ground and running, the government needs to embrace open dialogue and discussion to spark true transformation.
The 15th Annual Symantec Government Symposium will bring together 800 attendees from the public and private sectors on Tuesday, October 30 in Washington, D.C. to foster dialogue on the most pressing government cybersecurity challenges of today.
The theme for the 2018 Symposium is “Cyber Redefine: Automated, Innovative, Integrated” and the program will feature:
